Our design depicts a T-6 Texan, built by North American. Known in the RAF, Canada and most of the world as Harvard (also available). This two-seater was the most famous World War II trainer/advanced trainer aircraft, and the most widely built trainer of all time, with many still flying today as private/civil aircraft as well as with some air forces. Many thousands of pilots in 34 countries trained in them, including Spitfire and Hurricane pilots in the Battle of Britain. Known as Texan in the US and as SNJ in the US Navy.

The design contains only whole cross stitches - NO PART STITCHES - and a few back stitches. The stitched measurements 11.25" x 4.75"/29 cm x 12 cm.

The finished embroidery will fit a frame measuring 32 cm x 22 cm (12.5" x 8.5") without a mount, or 43.5 m x 33.5 cm (17" x 13") with a mount. The standard fabric in the kit is 14 count white blockweave Zweigart brand Aida. 28 count evenweave 100% Cashel linen is available as an option for £3. The kit also contains DMC stranded cottons in 17 shades, ready-sorted on a thread organiser with the key, suitable needle, easy-to-follow charts, small scale and large scale, and in both black and in colour, full instructions for beginners and specific instructions for this kit.
